Sara is a lifelong horsewoman. Raised in southeastern MA she had horses at home from an early age. As a young adult, she was an active and successful event rider. She has competed thru the CCI ** level and was a member of the 1992 gold medal winning area 1 young riders team with the second highest placed finish on that team. She has competed at all the big events up and down the east coast, including but not limited to: Rocking Horse Farm, North Georgia, Millbrook, Ledyard, Fair Hill, Radnor, GMHA, Groton House, Fitch’s Corner, etc.


Sara relocated to Reading, VT after 12 years of owning and operating a successful restaurant in Providence, RI called The Red Fez. She and her husband built the restaurant from the ground up and had a great 12 years running it. They received lots of great press & had a great & faithful following. They made the decision to sell the business in order to pursue a lifelong dream of moving to the upper valley, in close proximity to GMHA.


Over the years, Sara has been lucky enough to train with; Allison Springer, Suzi Gornall, Bobby Costello, Jutta Lee, Nancy Bliss-Byrd, Jane Hamlin, Arlene Full, Jim Stamets, Julie Ulrich, Don Sachey, Sarah Geikie among others. Sara has years of competition, training and teaching under her belt.


Currently she has a 10 yr old tb gelding, Oskar whom she rides with Allison Springer and a promising young holsteiner, Chatzi who is going to be unstoppable! She owns and runs her own barn in South Reading, VT.


Sara is an excellent craftsman with a great eye for detail. This, combined with her extensive teaching, training and riding experience bring her much success as a saddle fitter.

Sara currently resides in South Reading, Vermont with her husband, their dog, a cat, three horses and a donkey.
